Senior School Parent Information Evening

Parents and students are asked to attend the information evening for students in Year 9 going into Year 10 and Year 10 students going into Year 11 in 2015.

Place: Room S9

Time as follows:

Yr 9 parents and students at 6.00pm

Year 10 parents and students at 6.45pm

Date: Thursday 7th August

Jeans for Genes Day

Jeans for Genes day is this Friday the 1st of August. This will be a partial out of uniform day. Students who wish to wear their jeans on that day need to donate $1. School tops, jumpers and jackets must be worn. SLS students will collect the money during period 1. Students who come to school totally out of uniform will face the same consequence as any other day. Donations will be made out to the Children's Medical Research Institute.

40 Hour Famine

I am very pleased to have been appointed as Principal of Western Port Secondary College commencing Semester 2 2014.

Western Port Secondary College is situated in the seaside town of Hastings and was opened in 1974.

It is located in a beautiful rural setting which the students take much pride in.

Western Port Secondary College’s current enrolment is approximately 600 students.

Our mission is to provide a supportive and dynamic learning environment that challenges all members of the college community to perform to their personal best.

We endeavour to promote an atmosphere of mutual respect, tolerance, understanding and co-operation which is underpinned by our four core values of Respect, Challenge, Opportunity, Honesty & Integrity. This will enable our students to thrive in a diverse and changing world.

Western Port Secondary College provides a broad curriculum which caters to many pathway options. We recognise the need to prepare students for further education, for work and for the future in a world of technological and social change.
